Largo Florida : Disabled senior needs someone to help her keep beloved dog

An elderly, Largo, Fla., woman is hoping that someone in the area might be willing to lend a hand to help her keep her beloved dog, "Gary," reported Wednesday's Bay 9 News.
Gary is a three-year-old Dachshund who was adopted by Mary Lou Smith several years ago.
Gary and Smith keep one another company, but now, the 89-year-old woman fears that her own physical limitations will make keeping Gary impossible.
Not long ago, the senior woman fell and injured her hips and legs - today, the daily walks that she has enjoyed with Gary have become impossible because she now is forced to utilize a walker to get around.
Smith is unable to pay a dog-walker to help with Gary, and if she cannot continue to provide the little dog with the care that he needs, she will be forced to find him a new home.
Smith spoke of her limitations to pay a dog-walker to Bay 9 News:

If I can't pay, then I can't take care of him.
