Renowned Chinese Academic Under Fire for Voicing Dissent

A well-known and outspoken Chinese academic is facing a vote next month to fire him from his post at Peking University. Economist Yeliang Xia has made waves by signing Charter 08, an open letter calling for political freedom, and for criticizing censorship and the so-called "Chinese Dream."
