SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Friday afternoon a homeless camp called Tent City4 found a new location just in time.
The group of 50 homeless men and women spent the last 90 days in tents set up behind Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Parish in Sammamish. The invitation to stay at the church runs out on Saturday at 8 o'clock in the morning.
The group had nowhere to go, according to Tent City4 organizers. However, late Friday afternoon they found a solution.
In a press release from the Tent City4 Site Search Committee, it states, "we are thrilled to let you know Tent City4 has been given provisional permission to camp for 20 days at the Hans Jensen Campsite, which is part of Lake Sammamish State Park."
